Iran film ‘Kupal’ to attend San Francisco Independent Film Festival in US

Iranian film ‘Kupal’ has been set to be screened at the 20th edition of San Francisco Independent Film Festival in the United States.

Directed by Kazem Mollai, 'Kupal' is to be screened at the American film event.  

“You cannot be alone in the world,” Mollai, noted, giving a clue to the philosophical origin of the film, adding that, “The world is a strange place. Here, whoever shoots is the one who gets killed.”

Notable cast members of the film include Levon Haftvan, Nazanin Farahani, Pouria Rahimi Sam, Hossein Shamsabadi, Vahan Salimzadeh and Mitra Asiaee.

San Francisco Independent Film Festival is a year-round, non-profit organization that has been operating since 1998. It present three annual festivals: the SF Independent Film Festival (SF Indie for short), the SF Documentary Festival (DocFest for short), and the genre film festival. Last year over 21,000 film and event goers attended SF Indiefest events.

The 20th edition of San Francisco Independent Film Festival will be held on February 1 – 15, 2018, in the US.
